Installation instructions for OpenSuSE 13.1

• Do not 'upgrade' from an earlier version. Choose 'new install', but use extreme care not to interfere with existing scratch partitions.
• Select the following additional software categories:
  • Technical writing
  • C/C++ development
• Add the following packages that are not selected by default:
  • glibc-devel-static (for creating statically linked binaries)
  • libgdk_pixbuf-2_0-0-32bit (for Adobe Acrobat)
  • libgtk-2_0-0-32bit (for Adobe Acrobat)
  • libxml2-2-32bit (for Adobe Acrobat)
  • mmv
  • motif-devel
• Add additional repositories:
  • Google Chrome
  • VLC
  • Nvidia
